Unrealistic expectations. Dealing with perfectionism is generally dealing with some anxiety about failure.

This workshop begins by looking at the areas people feel they need to be perfect in and the standards they hold themselves to. By having the conversation in a small group of peers, kids realize they are not alone, and they also begin to challenge their own unrealistic expectations by seeing other's.

We will reframe 'failure' as part of the road to success, using the examples of many famous successes in life who were also failures.

Finally we'll look at the leadership skills these kids possess, that are evident in their desire for perfectionism, and find ways to use their strengths to enhance their life rather than limit themselves with unrealistic expectations.

Kids will come away with an appreciation for their abilities, the ability to identify when they're unrealistic and to challenge their own expectations.
