Parents

Parenting can be the most rewarding and most challenging of anything previously experienced. At times, the struggle to figure out how to help your kids can leave you feeling inadequate, overwhelmed, depleted, sad, guilty or defeated. It gets to a point where, having tried every tool in your ‘parenting tool box,’ you know you need a new strategy.

It’s normal to question yourself as a parent sometimes. You may have wondered things like, Am I doing it right? Will my kids grow up to be good people? Am I messing them up? How do I get my child to behave or follow instructions? If you and your child struggle to get along, or your child acts out when angry, melts-down, avoids school, or is causing division between family members, you’ve come to the right place.

I help parents understand the underlying causes behind behaviors and problems and find practical, realistic solutions and answers that work and help keep a good, solid, healthy connection with your kids.

Behaviors communicate a need, feeling or want and serve a purpose, letting the world know how the person feels (sad, worried, overwhelmed, lonely). Understanding the communication, you can positively influence behaviors through interventions, strategies and supports.
